A Few Pictures from the Lynden Transport Scrapbook |

Lynden Transport has always considered proper winterization of
equipment to be extremely important. Our fleet of heated vans may be the largest in
North America. |

Unlike many intermodal transportation companies,
whose business is pickup and delivery of freight for the rail and steamship lines, Lynden
Transport has always pioneered it's own methods and means. As shown in this 1960 photo,
and still today, we regularly use rail and water transporters as a link to move our
equipment and freight between operating areas when that provides the best service
for our customer. |

Crossing the Yukon River was once quite an
adventure. The ferry, in the photo on the left, was made from a barge which had been
converted into a hovercraft. It floated on a cushion of air as cables pulled it across the
river. The ferry was no longer needed when the bridge, pictured on the right, was
completed in 1975. |

Our dedication to 'Full Service' often puts us
in the role of 3rd party logistics manager, which means there are occasions when our
friends need us to airlift cows. |
